A Christmas market inside the John Mitchel Place hall
The market takes over the Newry Variety Market hall, a covered Victorian building just off Hill Street. The organiser, Room Angelz Events, lists up to 70 stalls: handmade gifts, decorations, clothing, festive baking and street food.
It is a young market. The first season ran in 2025, and the council's local news site reported about 65,000 visitors over five weeks.
Inside you shop under the timber and glass roof of the hall, out of the weather, with street food stalls in the mix. It suits a cold or wet evening.

Santa's workshop: reindeer food, letters and a gift
Children make reindeer food, post a letter to Santa and take part in workshop activities, then meet Santa and get a Christmas gift. Every ticket includes all of this, and parents go in free.
