Monday morning at the Gillygooley Road showgrounds

The variety market opens every Monday through the year at the Tyrone Farming Society showgrounds, 3 Gillygooley Road (BT78 5PN). It has opened on bank holidays too. Traders have opened from about 7am, but hours are not published, so check before a long trip.

Stalls sell home and garden goods, hardware, clothing, and fruit and vegetables. Parking is on site, about five minutes by car from the town centre. Monday is also cattle sale day at the mart next door.

The Omagh Show in early July

The Omagh Show is Tyrone's agricultural show, held at the same showgrounds, usually on the first Friday and Saturday of July. The 2026 show was the 184th.

Alongside cattle, sheep, horses and poultry, the show has well over 100 trade stands, from machinery and cars to food producers and crafts.

Booking a stall with the Farming Society or the council

For the Monday market there is no online form. Phone the Tyrone Farming Society on 028 8224 2500, email [email protected], or call at the Show Office on a Monday morning. Omagh Show trade stands are booked through AJS Promotions on 028 8225 2800.

For council markets, such as the switch-on Christmas market, Fermanagh and Omagh District Council uses an Expression of Interest form and has asked for £5 million public liability insurance. Gortin Glen pitches are booked with Urban Events NI online.

Selling alone on a street needs a council licence, and no street in Omagh town is on the designated list. The nearest is the Fairgreen at Ecclesgrove in Fintona.

The 273 bus, town car parks, and Omagh's Saturday market past

Goldline 273 buses link Belfast, Dungannon, Omagh, Strabane and Derry about every hour in the daytime. Ulsterbus 94 links Omagh and Enniskillen. In town, use council car parks such as Drumragh and the Old Market Place.

Omagh's old market day was Saturday. The Tyrone Farming Society, founded in 1832, moved to Gillygooley Road in 1995, when the new mart and showgrounds were built with the council and farming groups.
