Castlecroft Square: home of the Ballymoney Country Market

The Ballymoney Country Market is run by Naturally North Coast & Glens (NNCG) with Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council. Its base is Castlecroft Square, the covered square off Main Street (BT53 6AP).

It is not a weekly market. It comes out for the Spring Fair in April and for Christmas, when it has run on a Friday in early December, about 11am to 3pm.

Stalls sell local food, baking, crafts and gifts. The live list below shows the next dates.

Spring Fair weekend on Main Street and High Street

The council's Spring Fair runs Thursday to Saturday in mid-April, with Ballymoney Chamber of Commerce and FUSE FM. Market stalls open in Castlecroft on the Friday, then spread along Main Street, Church Street and High Street on the Saturday, 11am to 4pm.

Trade stands at the Showgrounds on North Road

The Ballymoney Show usually runs on a Friday and Saturday in early June at the Showgrounds, North Road (BT53 6BW). In 2026 it opened Friday from 3pm and ran to 4pm on Saturday, with more than 100 trade stands.

Stands are indoor or outdoor, and local food producers go in the Food Marquee. Download the trade or food marquee booking form from ballymoneyshow.org and send payment with it. Ice cream, drinks and fast food are kept for the official caterers.

Booking a Castlecroft pitch with NNCG

Apply to NNCG through the trader form on nncg.co.uk. Your business must be independent and based in Northern Ireland or Ireland; multi-level marketing sellers are not accepted.

Send product photos if you are new to NNCG, and proof of Environmental Health registration if you sell food. Gas needs a Gas Safe certificate, and electrics must be PAT tested.

To trade on a street on your own, the council issues temporary street trading licences for £100 (up to five a year). Apply at least 28 days ahead; phone 028 2766 0233.
